About Us

After many years of helping friends build their websites, I decided to turn my passion for design into a fully fledged website design company, so in early 2011, Broadgate Design was born.

Over the years, we have now helped many small and medium sized businesses in Thanet and further afield, throughout Kent and Essex, with the launch of new websites for brand new businesses, logo and print media designs to help promote all sorts of companies, and even helping with management of Social Media and online blogs.

We have made websites for a wide variety of different industries, from roofers, scaffolders and other tradesmen, to exclusive car hire companies, driving schools and even tattoo shops. Every single one of these projects began in the exact same way - we always start by meeting the client, generally at their place of work, so that we can get a real feel for their business, and how we can best help. We start with a blank sheet of paper, and we listen to exactly what the customer wants - some have very specific ideas in mind (sometimes they even bring along sketches of what they would like their website to look like), and others simply give us carte blanche to do what we do best.

We take a huge amount of pride in every project that we work on, and OK simply isn’t good enough. We want all of our customers to be more than just happy - we want them to be proud to show off their new websites to their customers, so only the best will do. To make sure we consistently achieve this, we pay huge attention to detail to every single aspect of the build. We are often supplied with the copy for the website, and we always read through everything to ensure that there are no typos or mistakes.

The actual look of websites relies heavily on the imagery and photography across the site, and as I am also a professional photographer (please feel free to visit my website here) I often come along to the customer’s business and take professional photographs so that we don’t have to rely on boring, stock photos.

We also build our websites on the latest platform of the Joomla CMS (Content Management System) to ensure that every aspect of every build is current and up to date.

We also realise that the vast majority of people don’t want to be spoken to in jargon - we talk in plain English, so no matter if you have absolutely no knowledge of website technologies, we are there to help, advise and assist you in every step of the build process.
